Kirsten Warner
Author of the award-winning Second Generation novel "The Sound of Breaking Glass", Kirsten has been a member of the Auckland Second Generation Group for over 20 years. Her novel won best first book at the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards in 2019 and the Hubert Church Prize For Fiction. It stays in the point of view of a child of a survivor of the Holocaust and dissects the psychology of transmission of trauma. It is also a pacy good read, set in the world of the start of reality television in the 1990s, and will be of interest in the times of the Me Too movement.
