Limmud Art: What lies In Between
is a collaborative, virtual project between 6 Australian artists. A project like never before, based on circumstance and chance. Tunni is currently based in Tel Aviv, Tal is from Perth, Yossi from Sydney, and Ike, Ariella and Tamar from Melbourne. Together we placed large emphasis on virtual process. Through online zoom meetings, emails, whatsapp messages, instagram messages, and phone calls, this process began the unfolding of the potential of what this project cold really mean. What lies in between the inception of the project and the final outcome, we think, is the most important part of this project. The artist's embarked on a month long journey, forwarding images of our work to each other, giving permission to hijack, chop, add, subtract, invert each others work, to allow the explosion of new work. We are trusting the process, and very interesting things are unfolding....

We began to ask questions of what is this space we are creating? what is the space which lies in between all of us? what is tying and holding us all together?

Curator & artist: Tamar Chaya Gordon
