Social media and communication apps have become a ubiquitous part of our daily lives. The same trend can be seen in the Hasidic community, including the spread of Hasidic blogs and forums, WhatsApp groups, and Telegram channels. In this session, we will consider the role of Hasidic Yiddish on the internet today, as well as the impact of online communication on the language itself. Familiarity with Yiddish is a plus but is not required.
