Mohammed Asad was born a Jew and was the grandson of a rabbi. He used his Talmudic knowledge and his early flirtations with Zionism to construct an interpretation of the Koran which informed the initial Pakistani education system and the idea of a Muslim home in South Asia, a Muslim form of Zionism. A brief exposition of his life, time, methods and why this should bring Jews and Muslims closer together.
