Blockbuster success has brought significant attention to comics and graphic novels in recent years. While many critics dismiss the industry as simple stories of superheroes for teens—fantastic tales of super-strength, invisibility, or adamantium claws. We will delve into the underlying Jewish themes and concepts found throughout the world of the superhero. From Krakow to Krypton, Auschwitz to Haifa, Berlin to New York, go behind the mask and beneath the cape to reveal the marvellous Jewish history of comics and the superhero phenomenon.
