David Cohen was one of the first New Zealand writers to discover “Caging Skies”, having met and interviewed Christine Leunens for the NZ Listener magazine early in its New Zealand shelf life. For this session, he meets up again with the now internationally famous author to talk about her life, the success of the JoJo Rabbit film that was inspired by her book, and the relevance of Holocaust literature in the 21st century.
